Stephen Ministry

Let God’s Warm Light Shine In!

In addition to the cold weather outside, many people experience winters in their personal lives.  A recent loss through death, loneliness, hospitalization, or ongoing medical problems may leave you feeling isolated.  If you are going through a difficult time, our Stephen Ministers can bring God’s warm love back into your life.  They provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care.  They will meet with you privately on a weekly basis to listen, support, to pray with you, to encourage and walk with you for the duration of your crisis.  To find out more about Stephen Ministry and how you or someone you know can be connected with a Stephen Minister, call 856-767-4386 to speak with a Stephen Leader or leave a private message (attached to confidential voicemail).

TO THE WORLD YOU MAY BE ONE PERSON
BUT TO ONE PERSON YOU MAY BE THE WORLD

Mission Statement

Our Stephen Ministry exists to serve God by bringing Christ’s healing love to hurting people,
no matter their religious affiliation, by providing one-to-one, confidential Christian care
to those experiencing life’s challenges and difficulties.

What is Stephen Ministry?
“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”
Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system.  Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers –
Stephen Ministers – to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

What is a Stephen Minister?
Stephen Ministers are laypeople – Christian men and women- trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment.  Stephen Ministers are frequently called “after people”.
